How To: Custom EC2 Tags

Description: 

This article will describe how to add Custom Tags to EC2 instances launched via Qubole.

Prerequisites:

  • API Access
  • Python / REST Knowledge 

How To - Python:

  • Run the following command to see the options

qds.py cluster update --help

  • Run the following with the Tags specified as JSON key-value object pairs. 

--custom-ec2-tags CUSTOM_EC2_TAGS
                     

Custom ec2 tags to be set on all instances of the cluster. Specified as JSON object (key-value pairs) e.g. --custom-ec2-tags '{"key1":"value1", "key2":"value2"}'

How To - REST:

  • Run the following with the Tags specified as JSON key-value object pairs.
