QUBOLE SECURITY UPDATE NOTICE

QUBOLE SECURITY UPDATE NOTICE

You may be aware of a processor hardware & security vulnerability that was made public January 3rd, 2018 related primarily within the Intel family of processors.  This flaw affects most processors that were manufactured by Intel since 1995.  It has been recently discussed on many forums.(1)(2)(3)   Qubole would like to provide you an update on how this concern is being addressed.

Qubole, and our cloud partners, have made significant strides to patch all computing resources that were impacted by these risks.  While concerns of potential security attacks have been raised, Qubole has proactively evaluated these risks and have found no impact to the services that we offer our customers.  We believe that there should be negligible impact to customers using Qubole services because the performance risks are primarily centered around data loading and not processing.

Qubole will continue to follow the updates to these bulletins and any further Qubole updates will be shared directly with you via your customer advocates and/or dedicated Qubole support team.
